North Cemetery Dedication
On Sunday, May 15, 2011, our 6th grade students helped with the dedication of the North Cemetery. We are so proud of young boys and girls showing community service. Thank you for your service!

Our First Cemetery Watch
About 25 students, parents, and members of the Historical Society, gathered together on Hedges Hill for our first cemetery watch. We guarded the cemetery from 6:00 pm to midnight. Everyone enjoyed grilled hot dogs and ghost stories told by society members!

Restoration and Preservation
An effort is being made to clean and restore stones in the Old North Cemetery. Many of these stones have been covered and some have been taken. Probbing has produced a few more stones and cleaning was completed. The stones are now being placed back in an area where proper tribute can be made. Join our class in completing this project with the Posey County Historical Society!

Charles and Jennie's Peach Orchard Store
Charles Abraham and Jennie (Howland) Allen operated this store in Peach Orchard Arkansas. Charles and Jennie are the couple on the right of the photo. Jennie's sister Mira, also from Lapeer, is on the far left.
